In 2015, the United Nations established 17 global goals as a universal call to action to end poverty, promote prosperity and protect the planet. As of 2025, there are 5 years left to achieve these goals, meaning that the exhibition gives an opportunity to reflect on the progress made and promote action to continue the journey. The theme for this year was to be hopeful and to stay positive for these next 5 years and do as much as possible. My focus was on Goal 11 which aims to ensure all cities are safe, inclusive, accessible and resilient. This includes a range of targets to do so, such as expanding public transport, reducing environmental impact of cities, providing green spaces and upgrading housing to be affordable and adequate for all.
